Assessment
Firstly, a quality physiotherapy assessment involves understanding what your problem or injury concern is. This involves listening to you and your relevant health history, then taking you through a relevant physical assessment to diagnose what your problem or injury is.
-
Education
Once your physiotherapist has completed the assessment, they will explain to you what the injury is (if any), what the ideal management is, and then discuss with you what your what your wide range of treatment options are.
-
Plan
Every good physiotherapy treatment begins with a plan, because recovering from injury or pain will hit speed-bumps along the way. The plan keeps you on track, moving forward, and most importantly, confident and calm.
-
Exercise
Exercise therapy doesn’t have to involve rigorous activity like running or weightlifting. Most importantly, it should involve what YOU like to do. This might include walking, gardening, crossfit. or sports like rugby and AFL. If you don’t have any interest in exercise at all, we can make simple movement goals.

Hands-on Treatment
Mick has extensive experience with treatments such as massage, taping, dry needling, spinal and joint mobilisations. Importantly, these types of therapy should help you feel better in the short term.
-
Self Management
Lastly, every good physiotherapy plan should involve your self management “toolkit”. This includes your strategies such as regular exercise, stretching, meditation, stress relieving techniques, or even something as simple as getting up from your desk at work every hour. We want you to get better, and stay better.
